The “Muay Thai Live” martial art show officially opened last Tuesday to promote the Thai martial art to tourists.

Panot Siriwattanapakdee, TCC Holding company director, said that the show is mainly focused on foreign tourists and on Thai tourists who are interested in the art of Muay Thai.

He also said that the company may open a Muay Thai academy in the future if the business is going well.

The show is performed only once per day at the Stage at Asiatique, the newly built theatre in the famous shopping district, Asiatique the Riverfront.

The performance consists of 5 stories of the history of Muay Thai, the traditional Thai martial art. The cost for the ticket is 699 Baht for a standard seat and 888 baht for a premium seat.

The “Muay Thai Live” show is also one of the tourism policies of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) which intends to promote Thai culture and bring more tourists to Bangkok.
